How do I book a session?
We can begin the initial communication process through an email or voicemail. But, you’ll need to fill out this form to give me more detail (i.e. kind of session, date, time, location, your vision). I need at least three week’s notice of a photoshoot. If you need something sooner, let me know ASAP and I will try to arrange something.
What about payment?
Once we have discussed and finalized your photoshoot details, you will receive a PayPal invoice from me by email. A deposit for my time will need to be paid within a week of receiving the invoice to formally reserve the session. If the deposit is not placed, your spot will not be reserved. The remainder of your bill is due on the day of your session.
What are my payment options?
Credit/debit card, cash, check (pay to the order of Amina Lampkin with your name and session date on the memo line). I accept credit/debit card payments via:
PayPal
Venmo
Cashapp
Square swipe
Regardless of what method you choose, it will be logged and recorded in a manner accessible to both parties.
What if I need to cancel/reschedule the shoot?
I know life happens so please just contact me at least a week in advance. We can talk and choose another day together.
How long will you wait if I am running late?
Again, life happens. Please just call or text me as soon as you realize you will be late. This allows me to adjust my schedule some so I can still be productive and work in the meantime. If thirty minutes or half the session has gone by (whichever comes first) and you have not made any communication with me regarding being late, I will alert you that I am leaving and will not be rescheduling.
I am nervous about the session. Help!
I am striving to make our sessions fun and lively. I want to avoid any awkwardness just as much as you. I’d love to sit down with you face-to-face to get to know each other some, past all the business stuff. Tell me about your interests, fears, favorite foods (I’m a big foodie!), or anything else. That way by the day of your session, we’ll be more than acquainted with one another.
Can I choose the photos?
Fortunately, that is my job! I want my clients to trust my judgement, as an artist and businesswomen, that I will not only take the best photos I can, but also choose, edit, and deliver the photos that truly capture the essence of your most powerful moments.
How long does editing take?
I won’t put a definitive amount of time on this because it varies according to the kind of session I’m doing. Headshots won’t take half the time a baby shower does. But, I will give you an estimation in the message portion of your invoice.
Can you retouch this and that?
I can lightly retouch, but if you expect a lot of retouching, I’m not skilled in that just yet.
